Fourth Annual Zombie Runs - 2012
Be sure to join us on Satruday, October 13, for the 4th Annual Zombie Runs which promises to be even better than last year. . Makeup artist Irene Franco will be at Goose Lake Park before the race giving a make up class to people who want to learn the craft of creating zombies. She is requesting a $10 donation per zombie. Sean Schubert will be on hand to sign his Zombies in Anchorage Book. There will be a brain eating contest after the race as well as a best costume awards.
When: Saturday, October 13, 2012.
Start Time: Runners 10:00 AM - Walkers 9:00 AM
Distances: Half Marathon. Kids 2.5K.
Course: Start is at Goose Lake, run along Chester Creek Trail to Westchester Lagoon. At the lagoon head out the coastal trail toward Kincaid Park. The finish line is at the Kincaid Park Chalet.
Half Marathon Entry Fees:
Early: ARC Members - $30.00. Non-members - $35.00 (Early entry ends at midnight October 7)
Entry fees go up $5.00 om October 8.
The Healthy Futures Kids 2.5K funrun start time is at 12:00 PM. The start and finish line is at Kincaid Park. There is no entry fee but parents will need to sign a waver for all kids who want to run. There will be medals and hats for all kids who run the race.
Bib Pick UP: Raceday at Goose Lake Park before the race.
T-Shirts for all half marathon participants.
There will be a Pizza party for everyone after the run.
