Summary of November 30, 2009 Board Meeting
- 2010 Officers elected: President: Betty Cronin; Vice-President: Mike Halko; Secretary: Donna Pedersen; Treasurer: Debbie Cropper; Membership: George Gates; Newsletter Editor: Jim Lieb; Webmaster: Gregory Dixon.
- Financial Update: ARC accounts are balanced and payments are scheduled. We have the upfront seed money necessary for next year’s scheduled races and scholarships, and have funds available to replace and upgrade equipment.
- Oktoberfest profits of $3,000 will be equally distributed in December to our event partners: Bean’s Café and Brother Francis Shelter.
- Our webmaster continues to improve the ARC website. In addition, we have Facebook pages for both ARC and Big Wild Life Runs. On-line survey and comment features are being incorporated to improve communications with our members and other race participants.
- The board voted to lend equipment and support to the new Team in Training run, the Shamrock 5K Scramble, scheduled for March, 2010.
- The Running Club newsletter will continue to be available in hard copy format during 2010. Members who can do so will be encouraged to either read the newsletter on-line or download a copy from the ARC website.
- The board voted to include the Zombie ½ marathon with next year’s slated events, for a total of 8 ARC runs in 2010. ARC does not have race directors for all eight events yet. Interested members are encouraged to volunteer. Assistance will be provided.
- Board meeting dates for 2010 are: First quarter on Tuesdays: Jan 19, February 16, March 16. Then on Mondays after that, through the end of the year: April 19, May 17, June 21, July 19, August 16, September 20, October 18, November 15, and December 20.
